Project #1: Tangled Little Hands

So this week in class we are tangling our hands! The kids are excited to move past tiles only and are ready to attempt something a little more ZIA (zentangle inspired art).

I cut cardstock in half and we traced their hands onto the paper.

They were then allowed to decide how to use their string to break up their hand. Some chose the palm and then each finger to be separate while others went a completely different way!

Students were told to start with black and white and then they could use Sakura Jelly Roll pens to accent afterwards.

They had a blast!
